In association with Kendal Mountain Festival, the second ever Adventure Sports Events Conference (ASEC) will take place in Kendal, Cumbria on Friday 18th November, hosted by industry experts Shane Ohly of Ourea Events and James Thurlow of Open Tracking.

This industry conference which is aimed specifically at those who organise adventure sports events, will once again provide delegates with an opportunity to hear some highly regarded speakers whilst networking with other event organisers and industry professionals.

The conference will be a chance to be informed and challenged by a great selection of speakers on a range of topics relevant to those who put on adventure sports events. ASEC pulls together a range of exceptional speakers with real insight and expertise, aiming to share good practice examples and stories amongst the community of Adventure Sports events organisers – whether small community focused events, or some of the UK’s largest commercial events.

ASEC is held on a not-for-profit basis for the benefit of all adventure sport event organisers, from charity events to large-scale commercial events. The event is open to operational staff and managers, course planners, race directors and event directors at larger commercial events as well as independent race and community event organisers too. The full conference programme covers a diverse range of subjects affecting and influencing adventure sports event organisers, and the day will conclude with a panel session, allowing the conference to discuss and reflect on the day’s presentations.

ASEC is also held on the day before the renowned Kendal Mountain Festival bursts into life for the weekend. So, after attending the conference, delegates have the opportunity to spend the weekend in Kendal watching the best adventure sports films, listening to inspiring speakers and socialising with the wider outdoor community.

For more information on the event and to see the full line-up of speakers, visit the ASEC website. Tickets can be purchased on the Kendal Mountain Festival website – all attendees will receive a free copy of the latest BASE magazine at the event.
