NNormal, the adventure sport brand founded by Kilian Jornet and Camper in 2022, is launching a new model from the Kjerag family, the Kjerag Brut. “Brut” (meaning “dirty” in Catalan) is designed to face the toughest conditions and on difficult terrains, where grip, breathability, and lightness are nothing less than essential. It also carries a deeper connection with Mallorca, home to the roots of NNormal, being inspired by the traditional Mallorcan dish Arròs Brut (‘dirty rice’), – so called because of its “dirty” color, a result of the mixture of many ingredients.

“After many months of work, we are launching the Brut within the Kjerag family, an ideal model for those moments when conditions become unpredictable and terrains change their texture suddenly. These shoes are made for those who enjoy getting dirty, without losing a good grip on the ground,” emphasizes Sito Luis Salas, CEO of NNormal.

Kilian Jornet and Elhousine Elazzaoui wore the Brut outsole at Zegama 2024, demonstrating its strength on one of the world’s most demanding circuits. All outdoor equipment from Nnormal is designed in Mallorca and tested in Norway, as hinted in the name of the brand (Nor-way + Mal-lorca), if you hadn’t twigged already.

The Kjerag Brut will go on sale for a retail price of €200 and will be available in black, both in stores and on nnormal.com.
