Barely in his teens, Cornwall’s Lukas Skinner is one of the world’s most promising young surfing talents. Known for big stylish aerial manoeuvres, Lukas’s skateboarding has done a lot to shape his approach to wave riding, but it was also nearly his undoing.

In 2020, at just 12-years-old Lukas had a hunger for competition, support of one of industry’s biggest brands and a huge career ahead of him, when a skateboarding accident placed all that in jeopardy.

Concrete Is Harder Than Water is a portrait of Lukas’ battle back to fitness and finding his feet on the water once again with the support of his family.
