What you’ll be doing
> Working with the BASE founders, head of brand and editorial team to create end-to-end video content for our BASE digital platforms that includes our website, social and YouTube channels.
> Working with the BASE editorial and brand team to identify topics, stories and themes to create content around, on a weekly and monthly basis.
> Writing treatments and basic scripts, pre-shoot, for formats like short form interviews, gear reviews and how-tos.
> Preparing shoots. This might mean booking the presenter and sourcing any featured props i.e. ‘gear’ if a review.
> Booking the location and managing any necessary permissions. (NB You’ll shoot content largely in our Bristol studio but will be required to shoot in outdoor locations – content dependant).
> Self-shooting with cameras provided by BASE.
> Self-editing content at our Bristol studios or remotely (we can be flexible on this).
> Managing and directing a roster of on-screen presenters.
> We imagine this role to be at least 3-4 days a week.
> You’ll have experience creating content for digital and YouTube channels.
> Understand the end-to-end video production process.
> Understand how to optimise video content for YouTube and social channels.
> Have the technical and creative knowhow to operate a range of cameras to achieve professional quality vision and audio.
> Ability to pilot a small camera drone and have a drone licence would be an advantage.
> Be able to self-edit on FCP or ideally Premiere, turning around cuts efficiently and at speed every week.
> Technical knowhow to integrate branding and motion GFXs into your edits.
> Strong organisational skills to maintain a weekly and monthly production schedule and content calendar in conjunction with the BASE team. You’ll need to consistently generate a minimum of one video per week.
> Adept at collaborating and generating creative ideas for video content.
