What you’ll be up to
> Writing, copy-editing and publishing features, reviews and supporting copy across our brand new BASE website and digital channels (e-newsletters, social media).
> Generating and researching fun, thrilling and original ideas liaising with the BASE Collective – our unique group of elite and emerging adventurers who act as content creators and ambassadors for the BASE brand.
> Working with BASE creatives in editorial, design and video to create and help commission content covering the full spectrum of adventure activities, adventure sports and adventure travel.
> Doing the same for commercial content projects with our brand partners.
> Helping develop the BASE brand voice.
> Running a tight ship with regard to editorial workflows including helping with sub-editing and proof-reading.
> Mucking in with other BASE content creation projects – video shoots, local adventure activities, photography.

> A great sense of empathy for our audience; you understand what makes them tick and what barriers they face when trying to live adventurous lives.
> Digital savviness – you already get how your editorial ideas can extend across social and digital media but you’re hungry to learn more.
> Creative flair to spare – a fountain of smart, original ideas that our audience will love.
> Kickass writing and sub-editing skills, with the very highest editorial standards. (OK then, yes, a friendly pedant).
> Appetite and ability to use data and analytics to inform your ideas, content development and distribution.
> Experience using CMS to deliver brilliant online editorial experiences.
> Fast worker, reliable and happy to juggle multiple deadlines.
> Curious, flexible, motivated and comfortable working independently as part of a mostly remote, international team (but with a core base in Bristol, UK).
It would be helpful to have
> Nerd-level knowledge of one or more adventure activities like MTB, SUP, mountaineering, kayaking etc
> Image and/or video editing skills using software like InDesign, Photoshop and the Adobe suite.
> Good handle of SEO writing when it comes to digital articles and reviews.
