Business development manager

What you’ll be doing

> Working with the BASE founders, head of brand and publishing director to develop new and existing business mainly for video content production commissions

> Identifying and developing relationships with brand managers, marketing directors and agency account leads to help BASE grow our commercial arm in general

> Helping establish our brand with our key target audiences and playing a pivotal role in a young business with ambitious aims 

> We imagine this role to be at least 3-4 days a week

About you

> You’ll ideally have a bulging book of contacts in the outdoors and adventure brand space along with a good idea of how to widen our client base to mainstream brands who want to target our adventure audience (automotive and spirits brands, for example)

> You’ll understand the brand and marketing priorities of our clients and be able to translate those into powerful proposals and help deliver rich content and campaigns using BASE media and creative resources

> You’ll be able to develop the creative strategies necessary to win both on the agency and client level through responsive, proactive tactics, and materials

> You’ll be adept at maintaining valuable client relationships and strategic partnerships with other agencies

> You’ll hopefully have an understanding of the end-to-end video production process and branded content

> You’ll be results-oriented, metrics-driven, and hungry to achieve success, with a clear roadmap to execute on your plans

> You’ll also no doubt have passion for success on a personal, team, and organization level

> You will probably be based either in or near to London or Bristol but will be happy to travel to develop relationships face-to-face (Covid-permitting of course!)

Role profile requirements:

> 4+ years successful business development experience

> Proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue goals

> Outstanding communications skills including negotiation skills and well-honed consultative selling skills

> Flawless presentation skills and the ability to lead strategic conversations that navigate the needs of BASE and the client

> An impressive work ethic and someone who can be trusted to work independently and with full commitment

> Great knowledge and experience of CRM tools like Zoho, Hubspot or Salesforce

> A passion for the outdoors lifestyle and adventure sports, travel and activities
